DOORS 8.X function calls in DOORS 9.2

Does anyone know of any changes required with DOORS 9.2 when calling functions of type void located in an include file? The include functions work in DOORS 8.X. When installed on DOORS 9.2, the function calls are treated as undefined variables.

Two different encryption schemes may be the source of your problem. If so, you will need to get either unencrypted files or files encrypted for DOORS 9.2

Thanks for the rapid reply. These are functions that I created in DOORS 8.1. They also work with DOORS 8.3. I did not encrypt them (I don't know how to). When I install the dxl under the .../lib/dxl/project area for DOORS 9.2, I can process the #include, but the functions within the include file are not recognized. Any other ideas?

My guess is that you put the include in a block created by {} and then calling the functions outside of the block which has the results of hiding the functions from scope.

The #include statements are within the block. Is there a work around for this or do I need to restructure the addin tool? Why were the functions in scope for DOORS 8.# and out of scope for DOORS 9.2?

After further investigation (ok... trial and error), if you change the suffix of the include files from .inc to .dxl, the includes will work correctly. IBM must have changes something with file naming conventions for DOORS 9.2.

Do what??

I'm not having any trouble with my massive pile of library *.inc files, but I don't store them inside the DOORs install directory. They are not encrypted.

I'd be tempted to guess that perhaps v9.2 expects *.inc files in the install directory to be encrypted, but I know there are several that are not. Perhaps v9.2 is expecting *.inc files to have some odd text-format, DOS/Windows/Unix or something. Perhaps if you edited and saved each include file the problem would go away.
